Camden Maine Sailing Charters
The Schooner Olad is a memorable place to hold a family reunion, a wedding reception, host a business meeting, or to just get away with a group of friends. We offer two-hour, half-day and full-day charters and can take up to 21 passengers. We are a Coast Guard certified vessel therefore we cannot take more than 21 passengers.
We are happy to arrange catering for your sail from the Camden Deli (offering a wide selection of unique sandwiches, salads, desserts and snacks). You are also more than welcome to bring your own. Alcohol is B.Y.O.B. and we are glad to provide coolers and ice if needed.
A two-hour charter will usually bring us across the bay to Mark, Lime, or Saddle Island or we will work our way down the coast and see Indian Island Lighthouse at the mouth of Rockport harbor.
A half-day charter (approximately 4 hours of sailing) might bring us down the coast past Indian Island lighthouse at the mouth of Rockport harbor and continue down to Rockland. There we would see another lighthouse on the Rockland breakwater. Another option is to sail towards Gilkey Harbor and Islesboro.
On a full-day charter (from 9:30am to Sunset), the possibilities are endless. We can sail around Islesboro and stop at Warren Island for lunch. We could travel to Vinalhaven and sail down the Fox Island Thorofare. Or maybe we will decide to plot our course for Pulpit Harbor on North Haven.
To book your charter we do require one-week advance notice and a deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of your charter.
