We have a very exciting weekend ahead, with the New York Yacht Club already sailing into town. Usually there are millions of dollars worth of boats sitting in Camden Harbor, but this weekend will see billions of dollars worth of boats! The last time this regatta came to town, some of the boats were so big that they couldn’t even anchor in the harbor, they had to stay on the other side of the lighthouse. It is sure to be a well-rounded collection of mega-yachts and classic yachts. We’ll do our best to sail around the ships as they come in, and do our best to get a little bit of knowledge about them, so we can answer your questions as we sail. So if you haven’t yet booked a sail this weekend—whether you live here or are just visiting, this will be a truly unique experience.
The New York Yacht Club has a long history, and in 1998, the club celebrated the 100th anniversary of its first cruise to Maine.
The weather is back to heavy summer heat, so come on out and cool off with us on the bay!
