Last night we had the best sunset sail of the season. It a phenomenal sunset, with the sun setting behind the mountains. The clouds were perfectly bright red with the reflection of the sun going in behind the hills and the water looked like it was on fire with the reflection from the clouds. Truly amazing to observe. Our private charter must have been speechless for ten minutes while they took in the beauty. But then...we started talking about how we could catch up to and overtake one of our competitors’ boats out on the bay. It was a really fun, impromptu race, which of course we won. Nothing like sailing by another schooner in close proximity. Everybody on board the trip had a phenomenal time and kept on thanking me for this extraordinary trip. As I was putting the boat away I had smile on my face thinking, "This is my job." That was a lot of fun!
