1. Olad is a very safe and stable vessel. The Olad is US Coast Guard inspected, has licensed captains, and carries more than the required safety equipment. She was completely rebuilt in 2000; she is practically a new vessel.
2. Your Captain is a local Mainer; he grew up on these waters and knows the local history.
3. The Olad is the only boat in the fleet with a cushioned seating cockpit with back support. See Picture Below.

4. Everyone has a place to sit.
5. We are going to sail! We shut off the motor once out of the inner harbor, and with a little help from our willing passengers, we hoists the sails!
6. We only take 21 passengers so there is plenty of room to move about.
7. The captain and crew love to answer questions. We will tell you every thing we know and even some stuff we don’t!
8. We will take a picture of you and your significant other, your group, or your family onboard, yours to take home as a souvenir for no additional cost. See picture Below.
9. We carry water and soda onboard.
10. We will always sail by the Curtis Island lighthouse, which can only be seen by the water.
11. Each sail is an intimate experience on a classic yacht, whether you help raise sails or the captain gives you a turn behind the wheel.
12. We hardly ever get a seasick passenger onboard, mostly due to the design of the boat. However, we do carry Sea Bands (bracelets that ease symptoms of sea sickness) onboard if anyone needs them.
13. We are here to have fun!
